Paintball vest provides the ability to carry extra paint onto the field with added protection. They come in a variety of sizes, that can allow a player to carry any where from 1 - 13 pods at a time in addition to extra pouches. Many tactical vest will also allow you to carry not only paintball pods, but will also have a spot for your paintball tank and a hydration pouch as well. When choosing a vest for you, consider where you prefer playing on the field. If you like it in the front, you will want a small, and lighter vest, like a Dye Tactical Harness with a Dye 3+4 Attack Pack or Tippmann Patrol Vest with 4+2 140-round pod pouch configuration and a tank pouch. If you are more of a back player and typically lay down tons of paint, perhaps you will need a vest which allow you to carry a more pods like the Empire Battle Tested Vest - THT B.A.M.F. or Tippmann Assault Vest with 6+2 and a Molle system to allow for optimal customization and extra pods on the front of the vest. There are two kinds of paintball vests: a sewn (or static) vest and a MOLLE vest. A sewn paintball vest has all the pockets, pod slots, tank pouch and other features permanently sewn into the vest. Sewn vests are typically more economical and allow little customization. A MOLLE Vest allows the most customization and flexibility to arrange your tank pouch, pod packs and additional pouches just about anywhere on the vest that feels most comfortable to you. MOLLE Vest tend to be a little more expensive, however offer a wide range of desired customizations and patterns.
